The Final West 150 Arik Armstead By Brandon Huffman National Recruiting Analyst Posted Jan 29, 2012
The nation's top offensive tackle, Arik Armstead, and top safety, Shaquille Thompson, stand atop the final West 150 Rankings for 2012... In the Year of the Lineman out West, it was one of the best two-way linemen in the country who stands atop the Final West 150 for the Class of 2012. Elk Grove (Calif.) Pleasant Grove's Arik Armstead, rated as the #1-offensive tackle prospect in the country, but with his heart set on playing on the defensive line in college, held off his 916 counterpart, Sacramento (Calif.) Grant safety Shaquille Thompson, who rose to #2 in the regional 150 after being #1 at the safety position nationally. San Clemente (Calif.) tackle Kyle Murphy, the top prospect in Southern California came in at number three with Monrovia (Calif.) defensive tackle Ellis McCarthy fourth and the nation's top offensive guard prospect Isaac Seumalo from Corvallis (Ore.), coming in at number five. Rounding out the top 10 was Fresno (Calif.) Washington Union cornerback Tee Shepard, Puyallup (Wash.) offensive guard Joshua Garnett, receivers Bryce Treggs from Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco and Deontay Greenberry from Fresno The Final West 150
